The nation’s capital has seen an increase in home sales. The National Association of Realtors reported that homes sales rose by 6.5 percent in July. Sales were also up 17.2 percent from July 2012.
The Association reports, despite increased mortgage rates, home sales have come in higher for 25 months in a row. NAR officials said the higher rates provided an incentive for buyers, however an improving jobs market will help the rates continue higher.
